Information to the university family during the war in Ukraine

The renovation of the area in front of the university’s main building has begun. The work will be done in several stages and last until early autumn.

At the beginning of April, the team of the UT Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology Office, together with the Estonian Defence League Cyber Defence Unit, participated in the cyber defence exercise Locked Shields 2025 Partners Run and came first among 14 teams.

The University of Tartu has announced a design competition to find a solution for building signage in university buildings across Estonia. Designs are expected by 2 June 2025.

Next academic year, the professorship of liberal arts will be held by poet, children’s author and prosaist Viivi Luik.
