ACTIVITIES

  • Student mobility: 2-5 months
    Student OUT (from EU) allowed only for PhD and only for few countries for BA/MA: List of Countries SMS OUT for BA/MA
  • Student mobility for traineeships: 2-3 months 
    Student OUT (from EU) allowed only for PhD and only for few countries for BA/MA: List of Countries SMS OUT for BA/MA
     
  • PhD short term mobility: 5-30 days (as trainees)
  • Blended short term mobility: 5-30 days (as well trainees)
     
  • Staff Mobility for Teaching: teaching period 7 days (incl. travel days) - minimum of 8 hours of teaching required. Private sector included
     
  • Staff Mobility for Training: training period 7 days (incl. travel days) – training events (excluding conferences), job shadowing.

FUNDING

Funding consists of 2 parts and will be covered by UT for both directions (incoming and outgoing participants):

 1. Travel support is calculated with the travel distance calculator

2. Monthly / daily allowance


Students
Incoming students to UT 800 EUR per month;
Outgoing students from UT 700 EUR per month.

PhD and Blended short term mobility - up to the 14th day 70 EUR per day, 79 EUR since 2024 project
                                        from 15th to 30th day: 50 EUR , 56 EUR since 2024 project


Staff
Incoming staff to UT 140 EUR per day
Since 2024 project 170 EUR per day
20% of income tax will be deducted according to Estonian tax law;

Outgoing staff from UT 180 EUR per day
Since 2024 project 190 EUR per day

All payments will be made by the University of Tartu upon arrival.

Inclusion support for the participants with fewer opportunities

All participants can also apply for inclusion support, for which they should state their special needs and expected additional costs when preparing for the Erasmus+ study trip. Areas related to Erasmus+ mobility for which it is possible to apply for additional support based on your individual needs include (but are not limited to): adapted accommodation, travel assistance, medical assistance, assistive devices, adaptation of study material, support person, etc. For furhter information please contact the Erasmus+ coordinator: karoliina.pennarun@ut.ee

Top up for students with fewer opportunities

Starting from 2022 projects there is a possibility for incoming students to receive a fewer opportunity top-up for their Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) grant in Estonia. Read more on the topic from National Agency website.
