The University of Tartu aims to strengthen the transmission of academic knowledge and science-based research to the society through lifelong learning, thereby contributing to the Estonian economy, social and cultural development as well as full employment. As the largest provider of continuing education in Estonia, the University of Tartu offers around 1,400 courses per year to more than 58,000 participants.
Continuing education at the University of Tartu is coordinated by the Lifelong Learning Centre. The aim of the Lifelong Learning Centre is to organise, coordinate and develop continuing education and to provide lifelong learning services to the university and society. The office of the Lifelong Learning Centre is located in the main building of the University of Tartu (Ülikooli 18).
