The University of Tartu Centre for Sustainable Development seeks solutions for key societal issues arising from the ever-increasing conflict between the planetary boundaries and the human impact.
The traditional torchlight procession marking the national university’s anniversary starts in front of the academic building at Vanemuine 46 on 1 December at 17:00.
The extra money promised from the state budget for this year and the next four years will help reduce the shortage, but rectors say it is not enough to solve the higher education crisis.
1 December marks 103 years from the opening of the Estonian-language University of Tartu. Traditional anniversary events will be held on that occasion.
