The full programme of Tartu 2024 is announced on 19 October, exactly one hundred days before the beginning of the year of the European Capital of Culture. The University of Tartu supports the activities of the Capital of Culture and the programme includes various events organised by the university.
From 1 to 5 October 2024, Viljandi is organizing the Viljandi Heritage Festival which belongs to the Tartu 2024 program, taking place at the Estonian Traditional Music Centre and its surroundings.
On 21 November, from 16:15 to 17:45, Nelli Piattoeva, Professor of sociology of education at Tampere University, will give a lecture in Room 204 at Lossi 36.
The University of Tartu Botanical Garden celebrates its 220th anniversary in June, when the garden is colourful and blooming. On 27 June, the celebrations continue with tree-planting and a concert by Lonitseera in the Botanical Garden’s alpine garden.
ENLIGHT invites participants to an online lecture on 14 June at 16:00 where three experts discuss modern smart systems and the developments of robotics.
