Election commission

On 31 October 2022, the University of Tartu council formed a five-member election commission comprising

• Raili Marling, Professor of English – commission chair;
• Piret Ehin, Professor of Comparative Politics;
• Rainis Haller, Professor of Mathematical Analysis;
• Jarek Mäestu, Professor of Human Movement and Exercise Biology;
• Kristin Randla, bachelor’s student of Law.

The election commission announces the rector elections, registers the rector candidates, approves the list of the electoral council, organises university-wide election campaign events, prepares and organises the election meeting, and decides other organisational and technical issues relating to the elections.
