The opening ceremony of the main building was held on 3 July 1809. Since then, all major events and celebrations in the university’s life have been held in the assembly hall. It is also the venue for many concerts because of its excellent acoustics, and spaciousness makes it perfect for conferences.
In order to book the assembly hall, a written application should be sent to the building manager Kristi Kallion (kristi.kallion@ut.ee).
